Agriculture Extension Associate

If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Extension Associate in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
At Ag Economics, we believe in Making Opportunities Possible. Our work spans the entire farm-to-fork food system, environmental and natural resource issues, and local and global economic development. As Extension Associate, you will lead efforts to support Kentucky producers through marketing education, data-driven outreach, and strong collaborative partnerships.
Position Highlights:
- Participate a variety of producer marketing activities across Kentucky.
- Design and implement extension outreach and educational programs in collaboration with key partners.
- Conduct industry surveys, assist with market analysis, and support training for County Extension agents.
- Engage with the Center for Crop Diversification and contribute to marketing and economic development research.
- Work with faculty to support communications, grant writing, and program development.
- Provide expertise in data management, media/communications, and web support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in business development processes, statistical analysis, marketing, and media/communication.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with faculty and external partners.
- Skills in data visualization, survey tools, and web/digital outreach are highly desirable.
