The Research Analyst position in the Agriculture and Environmental Informatics Laboratory, funded by the University of Kentucky Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, will join Dr. Mizuta’s ongoing collaborative projects with a diverse range of stakeholders, including farmers, crop consultants, scientists from other research institutions, industries, and government agencies. The selected candidate will also be encouraged to develop their own research project with Dr. Mizuta’s guidance.

Specific areas include but not limited to the precision agriculture, digital soil mapping, geospatial modeling and soil health research. • Maintain lab/field operations and coordinate student workforce
• Conduct and supervise on-farm trials and trainees for sampling
• Prepare samples and analyze laboratory/field/proximal/remote sensing data
• Create and manage a database and metadata
• Assist with grant writing and manuscript preparation
• Assist in mentoring trainees
