They are a nonprofit system with over 200 providers at more than 20 locations, 3 outpatient facilities, a certified medical fitness facility, a surgical weight loss center and the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 3:00pm -11:30pm and every other weekend. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at Owensboro Regional Hospital – 1201 Pleasant Valley Rd. Owensboro, KY 42303. We offer 2 weeks onsite training.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet patients
• Coordinate patient flow to reduce wait times
• Assist patients with intake processes
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles
• Process walk-in patients and visitors

The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our customers.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday between 3:00pm – 11:30pm and every other weekend including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on the needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry
• Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
• ICD 9 or 10 and CPT coding experience
