Summary
Provides expertise and analysis to managers and other employees within the department while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard. Works with minimum supervision.What You'll Do
- Establish and maintain Corporate Accounting policies and procedures
- Support accurate financial reporting by the company in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
- Maintain effective internal controls
- Support annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
- Provide technical accounting expertise and research complex accounting issues
- Monthly financial statement review and variance analysis
- Obtain variance explanations and report to management
- Review monthly Corporate balance sheet reconciliations
- Review post-closing reports and deliverables
- Develop and maintain financial reports within reporting software
- Resolve problems & issues and implement methods for continuous improvement
- Other duties may be assigned
Required Skills/Education
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 6 – 9 years of experience in related field. Public accounting and monthly closing experience preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
CPA preferred
