The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of projects within the organization. The Project Manager will plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Additionally, this role will coordinate with resources, key stakeholders and third party vendors to deliver projects .
What does a day in the life of a Project Manager look like?
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes when applicable
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Define project success criteria, track and report on results
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
- Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
What are the required qualifications of a Project Manager?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field, preferred
- Prior experience as a Project Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in project management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.)
- PMP certification is a plus
