We have an immediate opportunity for a GovCloud systems integration architect who wants to help design and build next generation Government Cloud environments and offerings. In the role of a GovCloud Architect, you are at the center of the action, leading the architecture and integration of market leading Salesforce products and services into new and existing GovCloud environments. Leveraging your strong architectural and technical foundation, you will collaborate to deliver Salesforce’s market-leading Customer 360 suite of products to our higher education, state and local, federal, military and other public sector customers. As a GovCloud Architect, you will work hand in hand with Salesforce product and service teams to bring their capabilities into Salesforce’s GovCloud architecture, provide expert insight to help teams better understand and adapt to GovCloud’s unique requirements, as well as enable GovCloud innovation to be broadly leveraged across Salesforce. As such, GovCloud systems integration architects are uniquely positioned to make significant impacts for Salesforce, our customers, and for the nation.
Responsibilities
Acts as the primary architect for one or more GovCloud systems and/or major products or functional areas
Serves as a subject matter expert on GovCloud architecture, requirements and processes
Collaborates with architects and engineering teams across Salesforce to share requirements, develops innovative solutions, engages in architecture and code reviews, and answers technical onboarding questions
Identifies opportunities for ongoing improvement and delivers innovative, repeatable solutions for stakeholders
Develops and enhances architectural and onboarding training, documentation, processes and tooling
Qualifications

Education:
M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field (or equivalent experience)

Industry:
10+ years of information technology industry experience
5+ years of experience in IT architecture, software architecture or equivalent field

Skills:
-
Broad experience in software architecture, development, and deployment patterns and methods
Preferred experience with functional driven design, distributed systems, and micro-services

Experience architecting end to end, complex (large-scale) solutions for public cloud environments
Preferred experience with DevOps, zero-trust security models and container technologies
Preferred experience with production systems operating in AWS dedicated regions

Demonstrated technical expertise in multiple infrastructure, middleware and/or applications domains
Preferred experience with service ownership and designing self-healing, scalable services

Experience synthesizing functional and non-functional requirements for individual service teams
Preferred experience leading development of architectural designs, articles and training

Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
Preferred experience tailoring content for executive, technical and non-technical audiences
