As a Regional Housing Director, you are responsible for the assessment, training, development, and expansion of the Transitional Housing Program in their identified region; handling and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety, security, and comfort; establishing/maintaining a therapeutic milieu and routine; serving as a resource for Housing Managers and their team members and providing leadership for the Housing Managers.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience working in a transitional housing setting.
- Two (2) years of experience supervising others.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver license in state of employment.
- CPR/CPI certification – updated as required.
- Must be familiar with the Virginia legislation, regulations, and certification requirements. Must understand all requirements of 3.1 LIR (Low-Intensity Residential) licensing requirements and maintain the standards statewide.
- Must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role is required to drive for company purposes.
- Travel up to 60% will be required.
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least three (3) years of experience working in behavioral health with a transitional housing component.
- At least Three (3+) years of experience supervising others
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Vice President of Housing to train, develop and monitor the Transitional Housing structure and operations in identified region.
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of new Housing Managers and Lead RAs for the housing program.
- Work to ensure the Financial Agreements are in place with all residents and train staff in other departments on how to promote understanding of financial obligations.
- Work closely with the Residential Treatment In-Patient program staff to develop an understanding of Transitional Housing and implement strategies to improve step-down ratios to our Transitional Housing Program
- Have an expert level understanding of the Transitional Housing Program
- Analyze the Recovery Housing Health and Safety Inspection on a regular basis with Vice President of Housing and Housing Managers, reporting issues within the physical structures.
- Maintain a positive community relationship.
- Assist in the locating and development of new houses.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and direction in daily operations and training to Housing Managers, setting performance standards, and monitoring performance.
- Assist Housing Managers with 90-day and annual performance reviews, within the identified time framework, and setting goals for continual improvement.
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and a cohesive work environment for all teammates.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure and uphold the confidentiality requirements of all client/patient information and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, the 42 CFR part 2, and state and federal laws and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
- Investigate concerns and complaints regarding Transitional Housing, analyze information and evaluate results to bring resolution to the concern or complaint.
- Be present and engaged in meetings and required training opportunities; ensuring regular meetings are scheduled for the housing program teams.
- Understand and assist with the continued development of Transitional Housing.
