Salary Range: $30,000 - $32,500
Position Summary:
The Prevention Specialist for the KY Moms program is responsible for promoting and supporting substance abuse prevention strategies, particularly for pregnant and postpartum women. This role involves engaging communities, facilitating partnerships, and delivering education and technical assistance to key stakeholders, coalitions, and service organizations. The specialist works collaboratively to build community capacity and sustain prevention efforts aligned with KY Moms' goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Mobilize individuals, coalitions, and organizations to support and implement substance abuse prevention strategies.

Provide technical assistance and training to local partners to strengthen prevention services.

Coordinate community outreach, education campaigns, and engagement activities.

Deliver prevention programming and services that target pregnant and postpartum women.

Maintain documentation of activities, outcomes, and program impact using approved tools and systems.

Collaborate with local health departments, behavioral health providers, and community partners.

Travel for program implementation, training, and meetings as required.

Additional Requirements:

Must obtain Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) certification within three (3) years of employment

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in community-based prevention, public health, or maternal and child health services
-
Familiarity with substance abuse prevention principles and evidence-based practices
This is a full time position
