Advertisement Wording | Athletics at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Athletic Learning Coordinator. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2025. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Athletic Learning Coordinator is responsible for providing and coordinating academic and educational support services for student-athletes. Incumbent helps supervises operation of the Eagle Center, tutoring programs, and supplemental instruction programs; teaches study skills and learning for success. Will participates in student recruitment, registration, summer orientation and pre-registration activities. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in education, reading, developmental education, guidance and counseling, or a related field with at least two years of teaching experience. Experience teaching study skills or developmental courses PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience working with educationally disadvantaged and high-risk students. Previous experience in administering or teaching in a university learning lab or study skills center. SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship. Visible program under constant scrutiny of students, faculty, staff, community, media, and alumni. Considerable travel and frequent night and weekend hours involved. Frequent interruptions from phone calls, student appointments and meetings. Tutor training and tutor meetings are often in the evenings and other program activities are sometimes conducted outside the regular workday. |
