The Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) Training at Morehead State University is accepting applications for TWO full-time positions as a Regional Learning Specialist. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Regional Learning Specialist (RLS) is integral to the onboarding and continuous development of new hires within DCBS. The RLS plays a crucial role in managing the registration process for new employees, ensuring that they are seamlessly integrated into the training system. This involves receiving lists of new hires from the Regional Personnel Liaison from DCBS/CPE and determining their designated paths, such as CPS, APS, SNAP, or Medicaid. The RLS is responsible for inputting this information into the TRIS/COLT system, assigning usernames, and ensuring that new hires are registered in MyPurpose with assigned job-specific trainings. Excellent communication is essential as the RLS sends out welcome and training information emails.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree. Strong organization and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in DCBS.

The Regional Learning Specialist reports to the Director of DCBS Training.

This position will be on-campus at Morehead State University, working in an office. Travel within Kentucky and outside of Kentucky will be required and on some occasions, travel will extend over several days. Evening and weekend work assignments may occur.
