The Biology & Chemistry department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Biomedical Sciences. The anticipated start date is August 11, 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Biology & Chemistry seeks a highly trained biomedical scientist with expertise in Microbiology/Immunology and the ability to conduct research complementary to our existing faculty. The candidate will teach courses in the advertised area of expertise which may also include Pathogenetic Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology and majors/nonmajors introductory biology. The position requires the successful candidate to obtain external funding for a robust research program working with undergraduate and M.S. biology students. A Ph.D. in Microbiology/Immunology, or a closely related field is required. The applicant must have broad undergraduate and graduate Biology training; post-doctoral and/or professional experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: Terminal degree from an accredited institution in the individual’s discipline as recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
