Building Services at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Building Services Manager. The anticipated start date is September 16, 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Building Services Manager directs the institutional custodial program for the entire campus, which is made up of multiple buildings which total over two million square feet of cleanable area. They also provide supervision, management and technical support to the custodial department.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma and 5-7 years of management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree preferred. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

The Building Services Manager reports to the Executive Director for Campus Facility Services .

The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Must be willing to respond to emergencies in off-hours as necessary.
