The department of Enrollment Services at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Enrollment Services Counselor.

Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and implement marketing and recruitment programs, activities and initiatives promoted by the Enrollment Management Office. Develop relationships within targeted markets (high school counselors, parents, prospective students). Maintain a database of prospective students. Serve as the liaison between the regional recruitment location and main campus to ensure goals and efforts in territories are meeting goals. Travel to events recruiting and assisting prospective students to enroll at MSU. Recruit and support students through the recruitment funnel to enrolling at MSU. Planning, organizing, and executing recruitment and enrollment services activities. Enjoy assisting and supporting students, families, etc., as they make their choice about attending college.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, after hire, proof of a valid driver’s license is required to be on file with the University Police Department because employees may drive University vehicles and golf carts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others. Experience with computer applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree preferred. Admissions, student services, public relations, marketing, or related background preferred. Applicant with sales or recruiting experience will be given immediate consideration.

Organizational Relationships
The Enrollment Services Counselor reports directly to the Assistant Director, Admissions/External Operations and bi-annually to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services.
Physical Requirements
Lawful and physical ability to drive a vehicle. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
The Enrollment Services Counselor for Diversity works with a minimum level of supervision. The person holding this position must become familiar with all aspects of the campus community and must have the ability to make independent decisions but yet know when supervisory assistance is required. The Enrollment Services Counselor for Diversity has the opportunity to travel and build relationships across their territory. Evening and some weekend events are expected during heavy recruitment season. This position is open to regional recruiters within selected markets.
