NPI Process Engineer

The Color Products Process Engineer is responsible for outlining all color product processes used in manufacturing. This includes the product functional test process, product inspection process, and other manufacturing processes critical to quality.
The role involves outlining all color product test plans and manufacturing process mapping. This role will collaborate closely with Lexmark's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team to develop test operations related to product function and quality.
Key responsibilities include…
- Working with Development Engineers to understand product requirements
- Developing logical process steps from product requirements into the manufacturing environment
- Collaborating with Lexmark's MES team to form test operations
- Documenting test processes for factory Work Instructions
- Instructing worldwide factory teams on MES operations
- Conducting pre-production trial runs on color products at Lexmark's onsite testing lab
- Creating repair databases used for printer repair processes at manufacturing sites
- Driving continuous improvement to Lexmark's manufacturing test processes improving efficiency and reducing time/cost
The ideal candidate will exhibit a willingness and ability to learn product functions at a deep level. Leveraging this product knowledge, the candidate will create and maintain the overall manufacturing processes needed to properly test the function and quality of all color products. The candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills within a cross-functional environment and be able to document detailed processes. The candidate will report to one Operations manager but will engage across color product lines for all contract manufacturing sites. Additional collaboration is required with Lexmark's Product Development and Shared Manufacturing Teams. The candidate is expected to travel several times a year to Lexmark or contract manufactrong sites in Mexico, the Philippines, China, and Thailand.

Education and Experience
- BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related courses; Master’s degree in any of these courses is a plus
- Experience in project management and use of its tools; certification is a plus
- Experience in leading projects that require working with multi-disciplined teams
- Experience in working with worldwide teams is preferred
- Experience in developing and documenting processes
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience with using automation tools is a plus (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Minimum of two (2) years operational experience in data analysis and management and the delivery of operations through the use of technology is required
