Lexmark’s Product Delivery team is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Lean / Continuous Improvement Engineer for global operations. The mission will be to collaborate with key stakeholders including new product introduction, operations, supply chain, quality, and engineering teams to implement Lean and continuous improvement projects.

Success requires working collaboratively across multiple organizational functions and geographies to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement. This position offers a wide range of exposure to various areas of the business and close collaboration within Product Delivery in addition to in-depth involvement in printer and supplies manufacturing.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Perform process assessments and identify areas to eliminate waste to drive continuous improvement
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to implement and monitor effects of the change (DMAIC, PDCA, etc.)
  • Actively lead cross functional meetings, Kaizen activities, and Lean workshops
  • Utilize Lean and continuous improvement tools to drive quality improvements
  • Apply, educate, promote, and spread culture in the use of lean tools.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure processes
  • Support the development of reporting for lean and quality related initiatives
  • Participate in the design and improvement of business/manufacturing processes and the drafting of standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design the data collection plans/datasets behind the improved business/manufacturing processes
  • Report out to senior leadership on project status and cost savings
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel up to 20% including some international travel (including China, Mexico)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to understand and measure production processes and complex manufacturing data
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Must be a team player and understand motivating and leading a team without direct supervisory responsibility
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management
  • Self-motivated to implement goals with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, presentation, and interpersonal
  • Strong analytical, technical, analysis, and computer skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technology early adopter
  • Experienced in creating documentation and standards
  • Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps experience preferred
