Job Summary
The Manager IV - Administrative Leadership position will manage and oversee the Financial Services Department under Administrative Services and serve as key budget leader and liaison with external entities such as the Council for Postsecondary Education, the State Budget Office, and internal and external auditors, and with internal entities as required such as presentations to the Presidents' Leadership team, the Business Services Peer Team, the Organizational Success Action Team. Serve as a member of the Administrative Service Team, coordinating with peers to support the division's objectives.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
Job Duties:
Oversee all daily functions of the Student Financials System to include daily batch processing, item type maintenance, and all other functions necessary for daily operations; Development, testing, implementation, and management of PeopleSoft Student Financial Administrative Software including training, support and documentation of the system for management and college personnel.
Assist in development of KCTCS policies regarding budget and student financial system matters; develop, maintain and support all reporting needs of management and college staff regarding budgeting and student accounts.
Management of student financial accounting to include maintaining receivables and allowance for bed debt, and processing of all student-related accounting transactions, including student related Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting requirements and annual production of 1098-T forms.
Serve as liaison to multiple constituencies, including state government, internal administration, administrative services peers in the system office and on the Business Services Peer Team, assisting in setting direction and establishing training processes in matters of student accounts and system budget.
Provide all necessary reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and other members of the administration as needed. Assure compliance in all matters related to the totality of the responsibilities and duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business or Accounting and ten (10) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
