The Senior Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Cloud Architect:
Engineers new AKS and GKE capabilities supporting Humana's cloud platform infrastructure.
Enables cost optimization opportunities and operational efficiencies related to Kubernetes clusters and associated services.
Designs, implements, and maintains scalable Kubernetes infrastructure.
Optimizes Kubernetes cluster performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure and deployments
Stays up-to-date with Kubernetes ecosystem developments
Supports and works on version upgrades, compute, optimization, local accounts, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, scalability, etc.
Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments.
Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings.
Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
Begins to influence department’s strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of technical experience
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes engineering
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
AKS Certification
GKE Certification
Cloud platform experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS
Prior experience with OpenShift
Additional Information
Location/Work Style: Remote US (Must be able to work 9am-5pm EST hours)

Work at Home Guidance

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
