The Intern - General 2 performs duties in field of study or profession. The Intern - General 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

The Intern - General 2 acts as an apprentice while completing formal education or immediately following graduation. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Humana Foundation is committed to the continued partnership with Chestnut Street YMCA and is currently looking for interns to join Humana for Summer 2025. The YMCA develops Louisville’s young talent by helping prepare and connect youth to college scholarships, internship opportunities, and supportive networks.

At Humana, the YMCA Youth Achiever Intern focuses on a variety of projects and tasks designated to provide a comprehensive understanding of a leading healthcare organization. Interns can be placed in a variety of roles across the business.

Internship Program Overview:

  • Maximum 10-week, paid summer program for Metro Louisville area youth who have participated in the Chestnut Street YMCA Youth Achiever Program
  • Chance to explore various career paths

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Recipient of Humana Foundation Scholarship
  • Resident of Metro Louisville
  • Participated in the Chestnut Street YMCA Achiever Program
  • Currently enrolled and attending a four-year college or institution
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States either now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Availability to work virtually or in person in Humana’s Louisville Office

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
