In this role, you’ll be part of a dynamic agile software engineering team to continuously deliver new features for the technology platform used to administer our various health insurance products and benefits.
As a Software Application Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing robust, scalable, and secure application architectures, under the direction of Lead Application/Solution Architects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software solutions align with business goals and meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will work on some of the latest and a vast number of technologies and applications on-prem and cloud.
- Create software application architectures that solve complex business problems, adhering to enterprise / solution architecture direction and standards.
- Keep up with emerging technologies, attend knowledge transfer sessions, and implement monitoring and alerting needs.
- Help the software engineers adopt best practices, introduce performance enhancements, and ensure application sustainability.
- Build and maintain application modernization roadmaps to optimize costs and improve efficiencies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define metrics for performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Share knowledge and collaborate across teams in the health plan & benefits space.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7 or more years of software engineering experience in a large IT organization.
- Proven track record of building 3-tier business applications in web/cloud platforms
- Proficiencies in modern frameworks like Angular, SpringWebFlux, etc., and Relational/Document DBs – Oracle, MONGO
- Have working knowledge of Data streaming, ETL, Rules Engines, microservices, REST/SOAP services
- Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, or GCP), Kubernetes, Data Lake, Data Bricks, etc.
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Prior experience as an IT Project Architect and/or Tech Lead
- Cloud certifications (GCP/Azure)
- Current or prior healthcare IT experience
- Exposure to DevSecOps
- Familiarity with or some exposure to AI/GAI/ML
