The Accounts Payable Professional will report directly to a Source to Pay Manager and will perform a vast number of tasks daily as needed. This professional will resolve complex inquiries and field production issues as they arise. A professional may work directly with all business areas and all job levels at Humana to resolve system or process issues as needed. The professional may be the business lead for projects including, but not limited to upgrades, implementations, process improvements, merger & acquisition activities, or enhancements. The responsibilities of this role will change and grow consistently.- Prepare, record, verify, analyze and report on financial transactions.
- Resolve escalated inquiries
- Reconcile transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Train finance interns
- Facilitate meetings with associates and/or suppliers that require training or issue resolution.
- Promote automated transaction processes
- Build and edit reports using various reporting tools as needed
- Proactively analyze existing reports to prevent late payments, lost discounts, or missed deadlines
- Work collaboratively with offshore contractors
- Assist the Continuous Improvement team by performing testing or providing subject matter expert input for project implementations
- Work closely with all source to pay associates to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for associates
- Mitigate risk for Humana by following SOX regulations and internal and external audit controls. Report any activity that could be suspect.
- Create and maintain procedure documents
- Manage projects
- Liaison between source to pay and system administrators and IT – create and monitor production tickets.
- Monitor and test production fixes, upgrades, and enhancements

Role Essentials
- 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience in Oracle and/or Coupa
- Demonstrated experience in defining the vision, mission, strategy and tactics for the areas of responsibility
- Outstanding communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including assertiveness, and courage
- Excellent relationship management skills, demonstrating mature confidence and integrity
- Business analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, both individually and as a part of a team
- Ability to work in a team environment with onshore & offshore teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
- Strong financial and business acumen required
- Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises
- Effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize & manage time effectively
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle, iProcurement
- Experienced in utilization of Power Point and Excel
- Regularly exercises judgement on matters of significance
- Ability to interpret data/information and make independent judgement
- This is a Hybird position which require 2 days in office and 3 days at home
- 3 Years experience in Accounts Payable

Work-At-Home Requirements:
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
