The SVP, Home Solutions Strategy and Business Development will drive the development and execution of the strategy and growth plan in Humana's Home Solutions organization. The Leader in this new position will be responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive, differentiated, and measurably effective business development strategy that attracts and retains relationships and also engages in commercialization and partnerships to drive growth.
The SVP will lead a multi-level organization of ~800 associates, with seven direct reports. This position can be located anywhere within the lower 48 contiguous states and does not require relocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic growth and requisite strategies for the Home Solutions segment and is also responsible for connection to broader Humana.
- Collaborate across Home Solutions and Enterprise Growth teams to develop winning value propositions and marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with Integrated Health leadership team to drive Home Solutions adoption through Humana health plan and other CenterWell assets.
- Manage and grow national strategic relationships.
- Progress digital campaigns with the Enterprise Growth marketing team.
- Create growth strategies, determine market-level and national tactics, and develop targets across all relationships.
- Identify and develop new growth channels, including partnering closely with Enterprise Corporate Development regarding Mergers & Acquisitions.
- With the Enterprise Growth team, optimize acquisition spend nationally, within each market and across all channels.
- Identify major drivers of acquisition and attrition, create KPIs to drive strategies, and determine implementation plans.
- Partner with Enterprise Growth leadership to mature enterprise capabilities in segmentation, analytics, and product development.

Key Candidate Qualifications
In general terms, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned business executive with payor and provider experience and proven ability to create the vision and strategy for growing the business and ensuring its long-term success. He/she will have extensive management experience (typically 8+ years) with a track record of inspiring teams to effectively collaborate and together achieve ambitious results. This person must also be a dynamic and entrepreneurial executive with the ability to work effectively in a company with a startup culture and mentality.
In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:
- MBA or other advanced degree required.
- Effective leadership skills, with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of a large multi-level organization.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with executive level audiences and key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Current or recent experience in a complex, highly matrixed company, with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment.
- Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome.
- Solid grasp and understanding of both the payor and provider sides of the healthcare industry.
- Successful experience in the commercialization of products and services.
- Experience in corporate development and healthcare sales is highly desirable.
- With a winning attitude, this leader will differentiate Humana’s Home Solutions organization in the marketplace leading to achievement of the ambitious goals of the business.
