Humana’s Corporate Marketing organization is looking for a Senior Product Owner that is Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certified to join the Marketing Regulatory and Operational Communications (MROC) team. If you are ready to join the team of professionals responsible for Humana’s success in delivering messaging to members through direct mail, email, outbound, etc., then this just may be the role for you!

As the Senior Product Owner, you will support the Agent line of business by leading journeys, campaigns, or communications with business strategy and consults on marketing and communication delivery strategy.

Key Role Functions

  • Coordinate with Product Owner to understand and translate requirements into architecture for key solutions, from design to coding, providing consultation around channels and audience targeting

  • Prioritize activities across development and operations for high quality execution, prioritizing requests, change request, etc.; lead the delivery team to achieve work stream tasks/milestones

  • Look for enhancements to the messaging to achieve the strategy/goal

  • Structure, plan and lead design sessions

  • Collaborate with other work stream professionals to develop integrated solutions and resolve dependencies

  • Work to build out annual and quarterly roadmaps in partnership with business strategy and develop incremental planning meetings

  • Develop and communicate the sprint goals, and make sure the acceptance criteria is met

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and consolidate across lines of business or products

  • Work closely with Product Owner and Scrum Master to provide progress updates and ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues

  • Identify and research potential pre and post production issues and assist in resolution and provide technical support when necessary

  • Structure and lead prototype demos and collect feedback from Product Owner

  • Support and execute release planning activities

  • Identify, resolve and/or escalate infrastructure issues

  • Provide coaching and development guidance to delivery team members

  • Promote best practice solutions and integrated applications to reduce costs and improve overall adoption

  • Ensure clear and effective communication with existing or concurrent projects

  • Create and manage solution-related documentation, providing input and solution guidance to the developers for custom solutions

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills, who is thorough and demonstrates initiative and follow-through. Having a highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts is also a must.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, Information Technology OR equivalent related experience

  • 3+ years of communications, marketing, product owner (indirectly or directly) or related experience

  • Experience with multi-channel campaigns

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Specialist certification

  • Requirements documentation/story creation experience

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated skills leading and/or influencing cross-functional teams

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Multi-Channel marketing communications

  • Experience with Aprimo, ADO and/or EMME

  • Previous end-to-end communication experience within Humana

  • Agile experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$93,000 - $128,000 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
