Humana’s Marketing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for Humana’s instance of Unica software to join the team working remote nationwide. Unica is the software that manages member marketing and regulatory communications.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will lead all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, you will monitor efficacy of products and utilize customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation and adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes.

The main responsibilities in managing Unica fall into two buckets: maintaining the current system and planning/executing Unica sunset by the end of 2026.

Maintaining the current system:

  • Monitoring and fixing any backend system issues. Just recently, additional memory and logging were added to address overnight slow response experienced by offshore developers

  • Responding to issues developers experience in implementing member communications.

  • Working with developers on ways to improve their processes for member communications

  • Providing input on the backend data to inform / improve the member selection process

  • Working with HCL (Company that owns Unica) as needed for patches and other system maintenance

Uncia Sunset:

  • Creating high level milestones to determine key factors in sunsetting all the Unica modules (Campaign, Interact and Plan) as well as moving from CMDM (old marketing data base) to CDP (new marketing database)

  • Socializing the milestones to get agreement from all areas that have work to support the sunset plan

  • Ensuring the sunset plan will not adversely impact ongoing member communications

  • Creating and managing the sunset project ensuring Unica and CMDM are no longer used at Humana by the end of 2026

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years of equivalent IT or healthcare)

  • 3+ years of experience leading enterprise-level projects

  • Experience with technology sunset planning and managing

  • Technical product management experience

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IBM Unica

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Additional Information

This role is a nationwide remote role. Candidate must be able to accommodate EST time zone.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$102,200 - $140,700 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
