The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.The Population Health Data & Analytics team is focused on identifying clinical and business improvement opportunities. The mission of our team is to unlock the power of data to optimize decision making, identify opportunities to reduce cost and drive better clinical and business outcomes.
Against this context, we are seeking a Business Analyst to join our national team. The Business Analyst performs analysis of business process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

JOB PROFILE
The Business Intelligence Lead describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of technical experience in data analysis
- Master's degree and 4 years of experience in data analysis
- Experience with SQL, Python, SAS Power Query, Power Bi, DAX and other data systems
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
- Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
- Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
- Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Advanced experience or certification in SQL, Python, SAS and other data systems
- Experience using Microsoft Azure platform
- Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
- Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
- Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
- Expertise in medical codes such as ICS 10, CPT, HCPS etc

Location: Remote Nationwide - *Will be expected to work Eastern Time Zone hours regardless of your location.

- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
- Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
