Description

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Planning, Analysis and Design - 20-40%

  • Understand business purpose of software solution requests.

  • Contribute to Agile feature, Epic, and user story creation and prioritization.

  • Contribute to process of estimating costs for proposed solutions.

  • Contribute to analysis of how to best meet purpose and features resulting in logical requirements documentation (can include build, buy or hybrid solutions)

  • Analyze existing systems and processes to provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Help design scalable, configurable, maintainable and secure solutions from establishing database to back-end programming to front-end appearance in order to meet objectives with a platform first focus.

  • Provide guidance to junior team members on tasks and technologies as required.

  • Work with Lead Engineers and Architects to explore new platforms, tools, techniques, etc. to improve solution delivery.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of development standards, accepted patterns of development, and developing project/system templates.

Development, Integration, Testing and Implementation - 60-80%

  • Write, update and maintain in-house engineered solutions and integrations of third-party solutions across all layers of the stack:

  • Database creation/integration

  • Network, hosting and back-end server management

  • Back-end development

  • Front-end development

  • User interface development to deliver superior user experience.

  • Configure purchased software to meet business and IT requirements.

  • Assist Quality Engineer with automated testing, SIT, and UAT as required.

  • Assist with the creation of detailed deployment and rollback plans.

  • Assist with system risk and reliability analysis and mitigation.

  • Ensure proper system and support documentation is created and maintained.

  • Participate in Agile SDLC activities.

  • Participate in on-call support as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

  • 5 years' experience in C#, microservices, and Docker/Kubernetes.

  • Strong experience and preference in backend development.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$104,800 - $144,300 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
