Description

The Market Development Principal provides support to assigned health plan and/or specialty companies relative to Medicaid product implementation, operations, contract compliance. The Market Development Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional teams with regards to Medicaid Provider Network priorities and initiatives. This position will also focus on process evolution/improvement to support Medicaid business needs. Highly skilled with broad, advanced health plan experience.

Responsibilities

The Market Development Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional teams with regards to Medicaid Provider Network priorities and initiatives. This position serves as a resource on regulations for all assigned health plans. Ensures that assigned health plans are meeting or exceeding corporate Medicaid performance benchmarks. This position will also focus on process evolution/improvement to support Medicaid business needs. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of health plan/operations/provider network experience
• 2 - 5 years of project/people leadership
• Experience leading projects and cross functional teams
• Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent presentation skills, both internal and external audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree
• Medicaid experience
• Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$123,800 - $170,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
