Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Responsibilities will include development, design, implementation, and on-going support of Medicaid business through collaboration with various internal and external business partners. Ensuring appropriate financial controls and reconciliations align with the implementation of Medicaid funding. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

This role is hybrid and requires 2 days in office.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• At least 3-5 years of technical experience
• Progressive leadership and management experience
• Prior experience within the financial industry
• Ability to interpret & manipulate large data sets
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
• Project Management Experience
• Ability to lead and development new financial processes while ensuring appropriate financial controls
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration
• Prior experience with Access and SQL
• Experience executing on process redesign and implementation.

Work-At-Home Requirements

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
