Description

The Business Intelligence Lead will support market and corporate leaders by providing data-driven insights on the performance of provider contracts and related processes. Candidates should be able to explore, analyze, and present insights from complex datasets. In this role, you will exercise independent judgment and will advise leadership based on an accurate understanding and interpretation of insights and trends observed in data and forecasts while working under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Lead:

• Works with Humana corporate, market, and network leadership to understand business strategy and data analysis needs; recommends solutions and technologies to meet those needs

• Leads cross-functional or internal data analysis or reporting initiatives to deliver insights and recommend actions

• Serves as the data, visualization, low-code development subject matter expert in assigned portfolios of work; upholds and enforces the highest development standards

• Leads one direct report

• Provides mentoring to teammates to promote best practices and grow the organization, especially in low-code development using Microsoft Power Apps

• Builds optimized, scalable, and well-documented analytical processes to mine, integrate, summarize, and analyze data from various platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 4+ years of experience

• 2+ years of project leadership experience

• Advanced proficiency and significant experience designing, building, and maintaining solutions to complex business problems using low-code development tools like PowerApps and PowerAutomate

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including use of subqueries, control structures, window functions etc.

• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements between business users and technical development teams; comfortable consulting with users at all levels of familiarity with modern BI tools to design and implement solutions using the Microsoft BI suite of tools

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and assess scope, scale, and return on proposed initiatives

• Ability to directly lead one or more high-performing associates

• Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading direct reports

• Certification in Power BI or Power Platform

• Experience using Python to create automated solutions

• Experience using MS SQL Server, PL/SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Azure Synapse Analytics

• Experience with Power BI report builder

• Experience analyzing medical claims

• Experience creating analytics solutions within the healthcare sector

Work-At-Home Requirements

• Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
