Cyber Security Analyst Expert

The Cyber Security Analyst Expert/ SOC Program Manager oversees the operations, strategy, and effectiveness of the Security Operations Center. They lead security initiatives, manage team performance, coordinate incident response, ensure compliance with security policies, and communicate with stakeholders. They are responsible for implementing security tools, improving processes, and maintaining the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead SOC Operations: Oversee daily security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection activities.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Team Management: Manage and ensure effective performance and training of SOC staff.
• Incident Management: Coordinate and oversee security incident investigations and responses.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, analyze security metrics, and prepare reports for senior leadership.
• Technology Oversight: Evaluate, select, and implement security tools and technologies.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to security standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the SOC, executive team, and other departments.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational enhancements and lead process optimization efforts.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.

The likely salary range for this position is $182,750 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
