Job Description:

Our work depends on a Quality Analyst joining our team to support the Mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) which provide benefits to our Veterans that they have earned through military service.

Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Analyst will ensure the file conversion services run smoothly and generate a consistently suitable output of products that meet quality standards. The analyst understands the customer's needs and requirements, and coordinates employee efforts and communications between management and the partner teams.
  • To succeed as a Quality Analyst, you should have excellent communication and listening skills with strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving experience. It would help if you were skilled in understanding scientific and technical data. You will review production quantity and quality measurements daily and become the first line of defense to resolve issues and production deviations as well as provide direction to our onsite digital conversion partner. You will continuously monitor digital conversion operations to identify improvement areas and anticipate any factors (internal or external) that could negatively affect the quality of our services.
  • You will measure quality through our Quality Control (QC) program. You will help develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan to ensure all required services are performed in accordance with the task order terms and conditions of delivery schedule timelines stated in the contract.
  • The Quality Analyst will develop and maintain methods of early detection and correction of marginal quality of service, including corrective action records as well as customer complaints in order to determine causes of deficient performance method. You will also provide timely written explanation/documentation of the correction of the defectiveness and correction of cause in response to Government corrective action reason as well as validating compliance with Business Rules, SOPs, and VA policies.
  • You will monitor the quality of all materials that the Contractor has received, prepared, de-prepared (de-prep), stored, and uploaded to the Government image repository. Additionally, you will evaluate service availability performance, compliance with Government OMPF handling and shipping procedures, and procedures for the Contractor-created paper documents, conversion, indexing accuracy, upload accuracy, and data reconciliation accuracy. You will provide data requested as part of onsite and remote audits.
  • The Quality Analyst will meet the quantitative metrics for each program Service Level Requirement (SLR) for which GDIT is responsible. You will meet weekly with the GDIT Quality Manager and Digital Conversion Partner Quality Manager to review trends and deviations. You will also track performance data and maintain trend analysis to identify threshold variances, anomalies, and patterns for continuous improvement purposes for digital conversion service

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business-based programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years working in an automated environment with direct hands-on experience reviewing production goals and quality.
  • 1+ years of experience identifying risks, mitigation, and performing root cause analysis to diagnose issues affecting production goals, capacity, and quality.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience managing quality metrics to support program compliance where service level agreements or service level requirements exist.
  • Travel 20-25% between different facilities

Desired Skills:

  • Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience

The likely salary range for this position is $63,750 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
