Are you excited about building high-performance robotic systems that can perceive, learn, and act intelligently? Our Amazon Robotics team is creating premier robotic workcells.

We are seeking software engineers to help with our Robotic deployments. This includes building and deploying Software systems that integrate Robots in our fulfillment centers. As a software engineer, you will help plan the roadmap, implement, test, and monitor services in our robotic fleet. You will also have the opportunity to learn and be a part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team building all parts of the robot hardware and software stack.

You will design and implement software solutions for robotic system deployments. This includes developing commissioning tools and automation software to enable efficient deployment of robotic workcells across multiple facilities. You will develop / onboard with simulation and emulation tools to enable software-in-the-loop testing for continuous integration (CI) workflows. This work aids decisions on automated testing processes within our development pipeline.

Key job responsibilities
This is a brand new system which is a critical priority for the Robotics organization. As a key member, you will:

* Work across teams to design and develop metrics and data infrastructure that bridges our robotic systems to the cloud
* Develop queries, data visualizations, and tooling that give our team and customers a deep comprehension of data generated by our robotic systems
* Develop and test software changes on robotic equipment in the lab
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to define feature requirements and see the impact of your products in the field.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Expert level knowledge of at least one modern object oriented language such as Java (preferred), C++, or C#

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
